| Allen Gears receives RoSPA Gold Award for third year running |
| 12.05.09 |
Allen Gears is delighted to announce that it has, once again, received the 'Gold Award' for its efforts in work-related health and safety performance from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). In order to become a RoSPA Gold Award winner, companies have to have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Mr Stephen Ford, Health, Safety and Environment Manager at Allen Gears said "We are delighted to have been awarded the Gold Award from RoSPA for the third year running. This award clearly demonstrates the dedication and commitment to health and safety shown by all employees across the board. This very initiative will assist in providing the foundations for implementing OHSAS 18001: 2007 Health and Safety Management system in which Allen Gears are due to be assessed in September 2009. "
Since 1956, RoSPA has organised its prestigious national award scheme to recognise excellence in work-related health and safety performance by private and public sector organisations. The scheme is based on assessment of a broad portfolio of evidence about the level of development and performance of a company's occupational health and safety management system, and also takes into account the company's reportable accident rate and enforcement experience." |
