Excellent customer service and delivery of ALL contract elements are the twin targets on which Paul Cartwright has focused his sights as he aims to lead Allen Gears Services to higher standards of capability.
Paul, the Finance and Services Director, says focus and resource is being applied to hitting these targets and as a result repairs, site work, spares and all other sectors of the aftermarket business are expanding. He foresees continuing growth over the next two to three years.
"But it's important that we grow the Services business in a well-ordered way," he insists.
"Lead time improvement is also very important because lead-time is often the critical factor in our work, so we have to be able to react quickly.
"We also see many opportunities overseas and it's likely that we will be working more closely with Rolls-Royce regional offices, as well as our existing external advisers. We will continue customer-relations initiatives that will involve Kevin Sierwald and Mark Annis being tasked to cover areas including Scandinavia and the Far East.
"We also intend to increase our reverse-engineering capabilities in our efforts to reinforce Allen Gears Services' position as a key player in both epicyclic and parallel shaft aftermarket sectors."
