Allen Gears is the world leader in the supply of speed reducing epicyclic gearboxes for gas turbine generator drive applications, supplying to all major engine manufacturers and packagers throughout the world.

We have an outstanding reliability record - hundreds of our epicyclic units have been running successfully for over 100,000 hours, and with over 4000 installations worldwide, our experience and stature in the market is well deserved.

Our patented epicyclic technology offers advantages in efficiency, size, reliability, weight and cost, in addition to being tailored to suit the exacting requirements of the package. However, should a specific requirement be for a parallel shaft gearbox, then we can also offer this as a solution.

We work with many customers on long-term agreements. These offer benefits in reduced lead times, priority service, and reduced prices, working against a schedule provided by the customer. We are the sole supplier on a number of the worlds leading engine gen-set programmes.

All of our units are custom designed, to suit the exact technical details of the gas or steam turbine gen-set. If efficiency is of primary concern to the customer, we will design with efficiency in mind. If weight is of utmost importance, then this will be our focus
