CIRCULATING WATER AND BOILER FEED PUMP DRIVES
The high operational reliability, long life and low maintenance record gained by Allen Gears over the past 40 years includes over 260 installations, with powers up to 6500 kW, and include installations in Australia, China, France, Finland, Singapore, South Africa and the UK.
The first batch of Allen CW pump gearboxes were installed in 1964 into power stations in the UK, a number of these installations are still running reliably to this day! This is evidence of the reliability of our units in these ultra-high integrity, critical applications.
The Allen vertical epicyclic geared pump drive enables the use of substantial smaller electric motors than the more traditional direct coupled motor drives. This reduction in motor size contributes significantly to an overall saving in both the installation and operational costs of a typical circulating pump package. Further the actual gearbox size is significantly smaller utilising an epicyclic in this power dense application.
The units are operating in a critical environment and are highly engineered to ensure the maximum operational reliability and output possible.
